When should I go to the Emergency Room instead?
If you have just been in an accident and you find yourself in extreme pain all over your face, you should go to the hospital Emergency Room instead. They need to rule out any other injuries and conditions you may be suffering before getting to your teeth. You will likely be prescribed antibiotics and then referred to a dentist, as you won’t get actual dental care in the emergency room.
